How to wire a triple switch

I cover the steps on how to wire a triple switch.

This triple switch has 3 single pole switches in a single housing that go to a switched outlet, an entrance way light and an outside light.

If you are changing an existing triple switch, mark the wire going to the common screw. The common terminal should be marked on the back of the old switch. This wire needs to go to the common screw terminal on the new switch. In most triple switches, the common screw will be a dark color and the three legs will be a lighter color.

Turn off the power to any circuit that you are working on.
