Furnace Troubleshooting - Flame Sensor
If you have a furnace that is cycling off too quickly, or
the burners are not staying on, you may have a flame sensor that needs
cleaning.
Lightly sand the flame sensor with a soft abrasive pad, sand
paper or emery cloth. Make sure to wipe off the sensor thoroughly before
starting the furnace, you don’t want to leave a residue.
Turn off the furnace while cleaning the sensor. For more household tips visit, www.askthehardwareguy.com.
